Yep, here's some new stuff for a new week.
Also new is the game tagging feature. This is still in development, but you can already get a sample of it on many pages of the site. How it works is this: some games have tags, which work kind of like hashtags on twitter in that clicking one will take you to a list of other games that have the same tag. Once fully developed this system will allow you, the user, to easily find games in the same series, genre, or with the same developer. You can read a little bit more about it here or check out some of the tags I've already implemented such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Dragon Ball, or Pokemon. As always, comments and suggestions are welcomed!

Finally, a new update! Yeah, I'm pretty much all recovered from my little surgery a couple weeks ago, so it's back to the ol' SDB grindstone. Starting with this week's rather hefty update. Thanks to everybody who submitted something, and if there were any submissions I missed, just let me know and I'll make sure they get added right away.
Now then, a couple of neat links I was sent these past couple of weeks.
First is this list of 30 Excellent Resources to Help Hobbyists Make 8 Bit Sprites for Retro Games by Doctor Roboturtle. This is a great list of tutorials, resources, and references for making your own sprites. You should check it out if you're at all interested in spriting, as the list contains resources & information on both the technical and artistic aspects of the craft. And of course, SDB is on the list too which we appreciate very much.
Second is the really cool Kickstarter for 1x1 which is a set of "pixel stickers" you can use to bring your favorite sprites into the real world. If it sounds like something you'd be interested in, check it out and consider backing the project. I must say, it looks like you can make some pretty awesome stuff with 'em.

Hi again, just wanted everybody to know I had my surgery yesterday and it went fine. The recovery is probably going to be a bit slow and painful, though. I can barely move right now due to the incisions on my stomach. Oy. Anyway, in case it wasn't obvious, there won't be an update this week, but I just couldn't stand the thought that some of you might be worried about me so I figured I'd at least post this little update. See ya October 11th.
