I've kept you waiting long enough - it's an update! This year has certainly been... something, hasn't it? I've wrapped up a personal project this week that was keeping me rather busy. There's still a lot of non-SDB stuff taking up your old pal Grim's time, but I'm definitely going to be working on things here more than I have been. Hi guys. No update in a while, I know. This still isn't an update, just letting you know what's going on. I'm busy with a lot of stuff and I'm taking an extended break. If you have IMAGES - sprites, backgrounds - to submit please continue doing so, either on Discord or the forums. When I got enough for an update, I'll make one.

And now, an announcement. Maybe some of you saw this coming but I'm not taking sound submissions for the foreseeable future. There's a lot of reasons for this but mostly it's because I'm burnt out on the work that's involved in uploading and maintaining them. They take up a ton of space and a long time to upload. I have to find a way to store them locally on my ever-dwindling hard drive, as well as online. (By the way - I don't need a solution to any of these issues. My mind's made up.)

If you are somebody who has submitted a lot of sounds - thank you. I mean it. It is and always has been humbling that people want to volunteer their time to contribute to this place. It isn't always easy being in charge of every aspect of a large site like this, and sometimes that means issues can build up and the best solution I can come up with is an inelegant change like this. This is absolutely 100% a community-driven project but I need to do what's best for me right now.
