So maybe you noticed the site was down for a couple of days. It was a technical problem with our host - I made the necessary fixes they suggested and hopefully it won't happen again. Sorry if anyone was inconvenienced!

Ok, I think it's been long enough, so here's an update. Thanks to those who submitted!

I haven't been doing nothing this whole time - I've been building a mobile compatible version of SDB! You can try it by at http://m.spritedatabase.net

The question of why anyone would want to use SDB on a mobile device has of eluded me for a long time, but it's sort of besides the point. The full site doesn't look so good on any phone I've tested it on and that's almost reason enough. The mobile site is optimized for phone resolutions, in either portrait or landscape mode. All functionality from the full site is there, so every system, game, sprite, sound, etc. can all be accessed, as well as search and tags, customs, icon or text view, etc. A few pages like tutorials (I'm working on it) and downloads (why would you want downloads on a phone???) are missing for now.

When I'm confident the mobile site is feature-complete, bug-free and working great for all users, I'll have mobile users automatically redirected to it. (You'll be able to switch back if you want, though.) Please let me know what you think!
