Hi everybody,
Sorry for the lengthy absence between updates. I never meant for it to be so long but, well, things are what they are. We've got some interesting and quirky submissions this week, so do check those out. As always, my thanks to everyone who contributed - veterans and new folks alike.
As for the frequency of new updates - frankly, expect it to be slow as long as the number of submissions stays around the level it's at now. Don't get me wrong, I'm extremely grateful that after all these years, people are still submitting at all. I really do get emotional just thinking about it sometimes. Don't laugh! And as for me, well, it's getting harder and harder to find the time and the drive to generate the huge output I once could.
What I'm saying is that, right now, there just isn't the volume of content for weekly updates any more. For now, I will continue updating whenever there is a large enough batch of submissions built up. Depending on how things go, I'll consider switching to a more permanent schedule (optimistically: bi-weekly; realistically: monthly.) Perhaps a better way to do things would be to add submissions as they are posted, and then post a round-up here on the front page every X number of days. Basically, I'm gonna do what I've always tried to do, and that's figure out the best way to get things done. Til next time - watch this space!

Hi everybody, here's another update with some sprites 'n sounds. If you couldn't tell, the recent release of Doom (which I haven't actually played yet...) has me in the mood to do some rips from the old-school Doom engine games. Expect more of those until I run out of games or get bored of doing it!
Next on the docket: I recently wrote a tutorial for Game Boy Advance sprite ripping. After some GBA rips I did recently, I remembered just how easy it is to rip from that system. So I figured I'd put together a quick little guide so everyone can get in on the fun. Find it on the Tutorials page.
Finally, I'm excited to share a new tool for splitting up sprite sheets into separate images: Sprite Sheet Manipulator by Kharyus. Even in this initial release, it's super fast and easy to use, and more features are coming, so keep your eye on this one. Do note that for now it's only for 64-bit Windows users. My thanks to the developer for making this, and for letting me know about it.
That's all for today. Until next time!
